THE NATIONAL COLLECTIVE OF COMMUNITY BASED WOMEN?S NETWORKS (NCCWN)
ARE RECRUITING A FULL-TIME (**APPLY ON THE WEBSITE** HOURS PER WEEK)
PROJECT COORDINATOR FOR THE WATERFORD WOMEN?S CENTRE. THE
COORDINATOR WILL WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE BOARD OF WATERFORD
WOMEN?S CENTRE (ACCESS **APPLY ON THE WEBSITE** CLG) TO SUPPORT
WOMEN?S COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT IN WATERFORD.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POST

Employed by the NCCWN Board of Management, the Coordinator is
responsible for the day to day running, management and development of
Waterford Women?s Centre & Childcare Service, in partnership with
the Waterford Women?s Centre (ACCESS **Apply on the website** CLG)
and will implement the aims, objectives and agreed areas of work
outlined in the Strategic Plan in line with NCCWN National Work Plans.

MAIN DUTIES OF THE POST:

* To provide supports and oversee the delivery of?women?s
community development and community education for women experiencing
social exclusion in Waterford
* To support the Board of Waterford Women?s Centre in fulfilling
its role
* To network with relevant local agencies as part of its outreach
strategy and referral strategy
* To work as part of a national collective to progress women's
equality locally and nationally
* Use a community development approach and operate from feminist
principles
* Develop the Strategic Plans and annual operational workplans in
alignment with the NCCWN strategic plan and national plans
* Oversee the development and delivery of?women?s community
education and report as required
* Support and supervise staff

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

* A relevant third level qualification or equivalent
* A minimum of 3 years? experience of in community development
coordination which includes working with women's groups and related
issues.
* An understanding of grassroots feminism and the issues presenting
for women in Waterford
* Excellent communication, coordination and report writing skills
* Ability to motivate people and relate to diverse groups and
individuals including conflict management
* The ability to maintain the ethos of the NCCWN and the Waterford
Women?s Centre across staff, participants, Boards of Management

Own transport essential.
